Description:

Not far from the famous Museum Island, the Museum THE KENNEDYS presents one of the most extensive collections about the family history of the Kennedys.

Numerous photographs, rare video recordings, historical documents, and personal belongings of the Kennedys bring the charisma of this extraordinary family back to life in an architecturally inspiring atmosphere.

The exhibition focuses on John F. Kennedy's life (1917-1963) and his term as president of the United States (1961-1963). His sympathy with the divided Berlin, which he expressed with his famous words "Ich bin ein Berliner" on June 26, 1963, earned him a special spot in the hearts of many Germans.

Throughout the year, the museum also presents changing special exhibitions about different topics related to the Kennedy family.

Cold War Interests:

The museum offers guided tours on John F. Kennedy's visit to Berlin and workshops for students on e.g. "Great Speeches" like JFK's famous "I am a Berliner" speech and Ronald Reagan's speech at the Brandenburg Gate in 1987.
